Bel-Art Lead-Lined Polyethylene Storage Boxes, SCIENCEWARE F249600001 are used for the safe storage of beta radiation-emitting substances such as gamma rays and beta particles. These Lab Safety Equipment from Bel-Art consist of a complete lead shield 0.76mm (1/32") thick encased in 6.4mm (1/4") thick high-density polyethylene on each side of the box with no lead that is exposed. The lid has a similar construction with a 32mm (11/2") overlap to prevent any radiation leakage. The box handle measures 89x29mm (31/2x11/8") inside the lifting loop.
