Made of black, stain-resistant polyethylene, the cover can be positioned to cover either the left or right side of a sterile jar, thereby allowing easy manual entry and exit of the specimen through the side port. Manufactured without metal, threads, or plastics, this cover is impervious to acids, bases, and most solvents. The side entry cover may also be used for manual harvesting of certain vegetable and animal specimens. The cover and stand are not interchangeable, and no lid is included.
