what is best material for the blade Expert Answer

S90V is a pain to sharpen and work with while S30V is easier to sharpen. S90V has great edge retention, but its not fun to sharpen. So depends on the overall use and purpose of the knife for the customer.

Benchmade 940 Blue Class Folding Knife is a fast-acting, easy to use folding knife that fits comfortably in your pocket. This Benchmade knife uses a highly effective modified reverse Tanto blade made from S30V premium steel, which is a stainless steel developed specifically for knives. The Bench Made 940 Modified Reverse Tanto Folder Knife features dual ambidextrous thumb studs for easy one-handed opening capability, and the knife uses the AXIS locking mechanism to keep the blade firmly in the handle when not in use. Benchmade has built a comfortable handle into the 940, made from 6061-T6 anodized aluminum and finished with 410 stainless steel liners and a titanium backspacer. For easier carrying, the knife includes a reversible tip-up pocket clip.
