BlackHawk found Mike Noell is a former US Navy SEAL who had a pack fail once traveling through an enemy minefield, so he understands the importance of quality better than anyone. After his time in the military Mr. Noell started making gear that would hold up better than what was then available so that none of his friends would ever have to deal with the type of equipment failure he experienced. From the first Black Hawk bags that were made in his garage to the state of the art manufacturing facility that BlackHawk currently uses, every aspect of the process of developing a new bag is carefully considered.
