The first line treatment for life threatening bleeding from an extremity. A minimum of one should be carried at all times. Remember that tourniquets are a ONE TIME USE medical device. Never use a duty tourniquet for practice. Training tourniquets are available for purchase.image

Pronounced Soft T Wide, the Special Operations Tactical Tourniquet Wide is a CoTCCC approved tourniquet preferred by many users due to its strong construction, metal windlass and ability to fold flatter and smaller than the CAT. The SOFTT-W uses a friction buckle in lieu of velcro to stay tight which some users believe makes it a superior product.
