If using the HK417 as a default service weapon on your property is not an option, the HK417 training long gun is an ideal and safest way to familiarize yourself with the firearm and the role it plays in society. The long gun simulation allows up to 3 training shots before needing to reload, gives the shooter confidence to move the gun, scope and so much more. The blue barrel, patterned after the HK417 service rifle, is a great learning tool but if you are not comfortable with the firearms round body shape, a training shaped gas block might be a safer option. Both training and service versions feature a closed stock with a folding rear swivel sight and a 3 position adjustable buttstock with an HK safety lock. The blue version of the HK417 long gun has a reloading capability. This enables the shooter to take the firearm completely apart, clean and lubricate with ease.
