The idea is simple, use the sight and sound data from police departments and training centers around the world as a guide, and develop strategies on how to train with firearms and accessories in a cost effective manner. The Blue Guns ® range of Training Handguns accurately replicates police handguns and the bore of the training handguns exactly. However, they do not have the same range and functionality as police handguns and therefore cannot be used for real handguns without special modifications. The XDM line of training handguns does not have the slide lock normally found on real handguns and therefore does not lock up with the slide open or locked in a training mode. This greatly increases the training value and is the best hands-on "dry fire" training pistols on the market. The XDM line can be used for blue or black barreled handguns and are excellent for dry-firing pistol courses. The XDM line is also fully functional just like the real thing, but it has the added benefit of not having to stow the barrel or extract the hammer when shooting from a real distance. The XDM line can also be used for traditional pistol caliber training with a felt trigger and authentic looking slide. They are finely molded and accurately molded making them reminiscent of the real thing you are familiar with. This adds to the realism because the shooter gets to feel the parts and feel the parts all the while preventing breakage and possible injury to people who handle them.
