Manfrotto Bogen started in the late 1960s in Italy, as photo reporter Lino Manfrotto was working for local newspapers. He found that while there were a number of outstanding options on the market for lights and cameras, there was an extremely limited selection of tripods and adapters, and many of these stands were of inadequate height for his lights. With the help of Gilberto Battochio, Mr. Manfrotto was able to design and build tripods and stands that were versatile enough to accommodate whatever height needed, and the two quickly expanded their new business into a leading company on the world's stage. That original focus on great camera equipment for every situation has continued through today, and the latest advancements are sure to be found in Manfrotto Camera Equipment.
