does this stock, allow use with stock sights? will a Chinese SKS fit? Expert Answer

This Boyds Hardwood Gunstocks Classic Stock was developed using a Yugo Model 59/66 with a blade style bayonet. It is our understanding that this inlet will work for most, if not all, SKS model manufactures or variations thereof with minor fitting. (e.g. spike bayonets will require fitting and the Albanian SKS is an example of a variation that will not fit.) Due to the varying ages, manufacture, condition and wear of SKS firearms, removal of wood or shimming the lower bearing surface at the rear of the trigger guard (fire control group) may be required to achieve a solid lock-up when the fire control group is installed and latched. You will be able to use your factory Iron sights with this stock.

Ordered a stock for my yugo sks. Looked great but would not fit . Called product support and received the advice to send it back or pay more money to a gunsmith to maybe get it to fit buyer beware a great deal was not such a great deal after all

For those wanting the same look of the original, but with better materials and construction. This gun stock by Boyds Hardwood Gunstocks fits Yugo SKS rifles with a Military Barrel Channel and fits either a 59mm or 66mm barrel. The Boyds Hardwood Gunstocks Classic SKS Yugo Military Barrel Channel Stock requires no modification to install. All that is required is for the appropriate roll pin to seat the tang into the channel, by loosening the internal plastic pillars in the stock a half turn and loosening them all the way in order for the tang to seat in the channel.image
