Boyds Hardwood Gunstocks is proud to introduce our new compact line of traditional laminated hardwood gunstocks called the Boyds Featherweight Thumbhole series of stocks. These new gunstocks are built to fit the Remington 700 platform and are great for those that need a short action stock for their Remington 700 platforms. The lower does not have the traditional "thumbhole" butt and thumbhole sling swivel studs added like a traditional thumbhole stock. This makes your gun look and feel great! These gunstocks are constructed of top laminated hardwood gunstock materials. They also have steel reinforcing ribs on the thumbhole forend to eliminate the "thumbhole" effect when firing the gun from the prone shooting position. These new gunstocks are easy to install and have an incredibly rugged and durable synthetic bedding compound. This means no epoxy, no gunsmithing, and no permanent modification required. Since these are hardwood stocks, they will not warp, crack, or become brittle with age.
