Product Info for Boyds Hardwood Gunstocks Prairie Hunter Ruger 77 MKII Long Action Left Hand Stock Left Hand Action Factory Barrel Channel
The Boyd's Prairie Hunter Ruger 77 MKII Long Action Left Hand Stock has a beautiful hand scraped walnut finish and custom inlay that holds true to the Prairie Hunter's heritage. The name is derived from the trapezoidal cross section of the Prairie Hunter's handguard which allows the shooter to rest their cheek on the shoulder to get the gun in firing position. This also allows for easier and more comfortable shouldering as the firearm is held with both hands. The extra room in the Prairie Hunter stock allows the shooter to easily get into shooting position without removing the rifle from the stand; thus, making the gun "Ready" for shooting at any time.
