Short-form graduated cylinders are made of polypropylene. Cylinders feature a circular base for strength and a shorter form for increased stability. Cylinders measure volumes of liquids and dry substances, with measurements in mL and lit by color-coded tops. The cylinders are designed to fit on a funnel, chemical jar, or stand, with the smaller top openings, and without a flange or taper at the mouth. Wide mouths or funnel-openings at the bottom of the cylinders allow a wide range of filling solutions to enter, including most acids, bases, and solvents. The cylinder mouths are constructed of styrene, and have a semi-rounded bottom to allow liquids to flow into the cylinder, as well as a knurled lip to allow liquids to leave the cylinder. Cleaning with Clorometric alcohol or peracetic acid if required.
