The 12000lb series planetary gearbox allows for easy shifting. The freespooling clutch automatically controls the rope speed for maximum brake holding capacity. The 3 stage planetary gearbox allows for easy cable changing and allows the control unit to be multi-mounted in different positions. The control box is multi-mount and remote controlled. The winch is also patented and can be order with an electric clutch or a friction brake. Electric brakes hold the rope once it reaches a certain speed in the drum, preventing runaway during use. The clutch lever ensures the winch will not slip under load and the ratchet handle keeps the winch under load at all times. The bolt pattern on the power unit allows you to change between manual and electric brakes at a certain speed, with no clutch lever wear or damage occurring. The sealed rotary contactor manages the start/standby and loads control. The DC switch handles the switch, cable connection, cable retract and hand control. The freespool clutch allows the rope to be retracted with the clutch lever before returning to the engaged position. The control handle position is easily accessed from the top and allows a cab or bulkhead mounting. The bolt pattern and bolts on the lower mounting bolts allow for easy winch relocation from winch to winch. The bolt pattern on the power unit allows for easy bolt removal and will allow you to change winch from the engine to the front of the vehicle. The bolt pattern does not need to be changed. The bolt pattern is the same as a typical, strong nut fastened winch bolt.
