The Burris Handgun 2-7x32mm 1in Tube Second Focal Plane Rifle Scope is designed for handguns that require a large amount of eye relief (up to 21"). To mount a scope, you would need to find a picatinny base that fits your rifle or have one custom fitted by a gunsmith. At that point I would recommend using any scope that fits your intended purpose for your rifle.

I have ten Burris handgun scopes. 4power-2-7power and3-12power. Have never had any trouble with anyone of them. They are on 500S&W-50B&M ALASKAN-50A&E-375H&H-450MARLIN-45-70-6.5-06 and more. As you can see those are some BIG BOOMERS.

I mounted this burris 2x7x32 handgun scope on my 44 mag Taurus raging hunter with a 8.37 inch barrel. The eye relief is great on both low and high power. I got the scope with the posi lock and it definitely holds the turrets in place.
