Even though a gen.1 night vision they are great,for $200 bucks you can't go wrong Pros: the AA bats last along time, also cheap to replace Cons: Alittle bit of a problem if you ware glasses

Goood rugged and great for moving around in the dark. Not recommended for night hunting, animals can see the IR. Pros: Does perform as described, great for exploring in the dark. Cons: Not recommended for night hunting.

This is a good unit for the price you pay, optics are pretty good although there is some fisheye effects. The two different IR beams are nice and you can cut both of them off for those moonlit nights, you can make out cows in a pasture at probably 30...

The relatively strong light in one eye makes it inconvenient when it is removed, that is: swiching back and forth between using the night vision monocular and using naked eyes, is inconvenient. I would probably go for a binocular next time. It works...
