Optics Planet introduces a new Bushnell category of outdoor products with the new Bushnell TravelTunes 1.0 Outdoor Speaker System for iPod and MP3 Players (Item Code: 940001 or 940001AP). The compact, water resistant speaker system is designed for outdoor use and is the perfect traveling companion for camping trips, picnics or backyard entertaining.

The new Travel Tunes features water resistant 2.25" speakers and a 5-watt per channel amplifier with "Z-Bass" boost. The sound quality has been specially "tuned" to sound great in any outdoor listening environment. Bushnell TravelTunes will play for over eight hours at normal volume powered by eight "C" cell batteries. When you are near an electrical outlet, you can use the included AC adapter, which even charges your "dock" connected iPod while it plays. The TravelTunes from Bushnell will easily fill a room with its big, clear sound, even at high volume levels.

The Travel Tune outdoor speaker system is compatible with all "dockable" iPods, including the Nano and Mini versions. An external input jack also lets the user connect the Shuffle and other MP3 players.

Unlike other consumer electronics, the new TravelTunes is designed and built for outdoor use. The exterior is rubber coated with a rugged rubber trim to protect the player from the elements during outdoor use. The battery compartment is water resistant and rubber doors protect the iPod connector and real panel jacks. A carrying case is included for full protection during transport. With its compact design (7"x13.5"x3.25") it is easy to take along on camping trips, picnics or other outdoor events. The sturdy metal carrying handle also serves as a folding stand.
