Product Info for C.A.M.P. Corsa Alpine Axe
The Corsa represents the future of mountaineering axes. The design has the same goals as the Helium I, which was conceived as an all-metal tool: extreme strength, precision engineering, and a perfection that can almost seem clinical. The aggressively tapered head with a large D-shape combines the best of two worlds. The steel is blackened and very clearly etched so it is easy to notice when you use it. The Corsa also comes with a red non-slip grip and a bright red scabbard that can easily be attached with a strap. As with all S-Lab products, S-Lab axes are lifetime guaranteed. The S-Lab line has been developed in close collaboration with S-Lab of Madison, WI. Their crepe slings are custom made and can be removed so the shaft is tapered at the point of the handle. The cork handle of the Vapour SAS branded axes further enhances grip safety.
