Product Info for C.A.M.P. Steel Oval Lock Pro Carabiner

C.A.M.P. Steel Oval Lock Pro Carabiners are designed for specific environments. The shape and size gives these Climbing and Mountaineering Equipment by C.A.M.P. the necessary properties for specific environments, such as being lightweight and compact. The shape of the C.A.M.P. Steel Oval Lock Pro Carabiner is designed to reduce weight, not strength, providing a better connection. One of the main benefits of using C.A.M.P. Steel Oval Lock Pro Carabiners over standard oval carabiners is that the prongs are correctly located in the open position so that they create the proper radius effect when clipping ropes or attaching carabiners to anchors. C.A.M.P. has built a locking oval carabiner into their line up of products, giving users with a choice of whether or not to use a locking oval carabiner in any application. The most common use for this particular shape of carabiner at work is as a belay/rappel carabiner, which is most commonly used in belay stations or fixed anchor systems. They also make an excellent anchor for many types of pulley systems.image
