Product Category Description:

X-OMAT AR (XAR) is a general-purpose autoradiography film that has been developed for use with commonly used isotopes and chemiluminescence. The unique formulation of XAR film allows it to double-coated on both sides and is sensitive to a much wider range of agents than do the more commonly used BioMax MR and BioMax MS films. Compared to BioMax MR, which is optimized for isotopes with higher quantum yield, XAR-5 film has a dual-emitting layer that doubles the speed of the film and increases the number of photons emitted from the film. This feature enables the film to be exposed to radioactive isotopes with a single developer droplet without pre-equilibration. Developing times can also be reduced by pre-exposure elongation. Suitable for manual and fully-automated processing. A new general-purpose emulsion film that has been specially processed for greater radiochemical resistance and performance.
