will this stay subsonic with a 4.4" barrel?

No. These are Hypervelocity (1550fps), so the chance of it being subsonic (500+ fps slower) is very low in any barrel.

I was impressed with the speed. Using a chronometer we got readings from 1440 to 1595 using suppressor. The fouling was cut WAY down and no lead was visible in barrel. I would recommend this product for varmit hunting up to 100 yds.
