Product Info for Choate Tool Remington 10 Shot Magazine Extension
Increase your fire power of your shotgun with one of our magazine extension kit. These kits are constructed of solid blued steel and come with 1 Magazine Extension 6,7,8, 9 or 10 shot, 1 Base Clamp, 1 High Visibility Shell Follower.
For guns made before about 1987 you might have a 20ga gun made on a 12ga receiver. If your magazine tube will take a 12ga shell then you have one of the older guns that needs the 12ga extension.
Using the 7 shot extension as an example shotgun capacity for a magazine extension is figured 1 round in the chamber and 6 rounds of 2 3/4 inch shells in the magazine tube. The new model Remington 870/1100/1187 shotguns have dimples that will have to be drilled out with 3/16 drill bit before the spring will extend up into the magazine extension. The older model Remington 870/1100/1187 will readily accept our extensions without any alterations. Find complete instructions in our FAQ section.
