The Sniper version of the Savage Long Action Sniper gives you added room to install scopes with the use of an adapter. The adapter merely slides onto the top of the action and then drops in place. Bolt the adapter in place and then tighten the forward knob to install, this makes the removal of the scope mounts a breeze. You now have the ability to remove the scope without removing the action. This is the setup we highly recommend for all of your shooting applications. An excellent example of the versatile uses of sniper optics is the Savage Long Action Sniper. This is the same type of setup you would install on a T3 Remington or a Ruger Vanguard. You must remove the old aperture before attempting to install the new Optics. The new Optics Super Sniper features a more compact pistol grip design for the Savage Long Action Savage. This design allows the shooter to use the pistol grip with the cheek weld in place of the more traditional sling swivel.
