This Cold Steel MAA La Fontaine Sword of War is a revolutionary take on a high-class European sword. Luke LaFontaine of the American Historical Fencing Association designed this Steel Sword to look and feel like a genuine Man at Arms sword - with the looks and sensibilities of a piece fit for a sovereign, earl or duke. The Cold Steel La Fontaine Carbon Steel Sword of War features Luke LaFontaine's signature hiltcombination - with a long double edged blade, elaborate ring guards, counter guards, and peaked quillons. For added safety, the Cold Steel La Fontaine Man at Arms Sword of War is equipped with a closed ricasso - allowing you to loop your finger through the opening of the guard and gain additional control. This incredible steel sword comes complete with a thick leather and steel scabbard. This version of the Cold Steel La Fontaine Sword of War features a mildly discolored 1055 carbon steel blade, a hand-forged blade that's been stabilized with a black PVD coating. The combination of steel's heft and sharpness make this sword a very effective tool for cutting, slashing, parrying, & chopping.
