Made by Hickory Woods beautiful and unique designs we are proud to introduce a limited run of these truly unique Tomahawks. Tomahawks are timeless weapons that have been handed down from generation to generation, usually surviving as relics from the areas of North America where the Cherokee people made their homes. These are made by hand by Indian craftsmen using 1060 high carbon steel and natural American Hickory handles. Tomahawks are excellent tools that do a great job of chopping and securing tents and other coverings for camp sites. The powerful 1060 high carbon steel blades can be used to split kindling and were used for pounding in tents to prepare them for the long winters of the early settlers. However, they can also be used as mallets for small tasks such as pounding in nails. These unique, one-of-a-kind tomahawks are a unique and beautiful way to attach a birch branch and have an everlasting appeal. Each is laser engraved with an animal etched in the handle and then serialized on the back of the handle. To complete this rustic, handcrafted and unique piece, each is embossed with an elk horn handle and a brass stirrup. Que the perfect combination for someone who wants to settle down in a remote area to build a traditional tomahawk.
