The CRKT Big Eddy Fisherman's Knife features a breakthrough blade grind that puts it at the head of the class. Designed by Russ Kommer, gifted knifemaker and hunting and fishing guide, the CRKT Big Eddy Knife is made specifically for filleting fish, with a revolutionary blade that feature a hollow grind on the top side of the blade and a flat grind on the bottom. Based on Russ's many hours spent filleting 40-pound Alaska salmon, the Columbia River Big Eddy Fillet Knife marks a break with traditional fillet knives which have a symmetrical grind.
The smaller CRKT Big Eddy Fishing Knife has a 6.75" blade that features Russ's high hollow grind on the top of the blade, which creates an air pocket to lift and "float" fillets off, while the flat taper ground side glides smoothly across the skin. Triple-Point Serrations help you cut through gristle, bones and fins. The Columbia River Knife & Tool Big Eddy Knife features a unique Twin-Fused handle with a rigid, high-impact polypropylene core wrapped with a soft textured rubber grip for a firm, safe hold. Its streamlined sheath is injection-molded for long wear and stylish utility.
