All of the pouches on the Defcon 5 Molle Recon Chest Rig are removable. However, they are designed to fit AR15 magazines not AK.

Product Info for Defcon 5 Molle Recon Chest Rig

This harness with shoulder straps and lumbar belt can be used either in CHEST mode or in PLATE CARRIER mode.image

A ballistic plate can be put in the inside to protect chest and abdomen.

The shoulder straps are detachable and can be fit in two ways: by removing the dorsal pouch crossing the straps on the back (best option for those who operate on a vehicle), or by passing the straps around the arms leaving the back free to operate effectively with backpacks.

Fully adjustable chest vest to accomodate different sizes in three ways: with the lumbar doubled fastex buckles belt, with the velcro strap for the back regulation and two back straps with buckles to regulate the shoulder straps
