The Eagle Wall Mount and Undercounter Safety Storage Cabinets are an important safety feature that will keep any laboratory or work environment hazard-free. These cabinets, with manual doors, are best suited for storing flammable liquids and solvents. However, these cabinets must be stored away from flammable materials in order to prevent an accident from occurring. The best place for these is in fume hoods, but beware, some solvents are flammable and should be diluted properly in a separate container. The raised 5cm (2in) doorsills and four leveling feet keep this unit from leaking, even during a fire. The liquid shelves, which support up to 500lbs, allow you to easily organize your ware in this cabinet. Also, these cabinets post a bright yellow powder coat finish so that they will be easily seen when working in unsafe areas. However, these cabinets meet OSHA flammable liquid storage requirements, so you can keep these in place without having to worry about a bad smell or bad odors. Keep this in mind when working with this cabinet and you'll see that there are two types of doors - the standard manual door and the self-closing door. The self-closing door has a fusible link which melts in order to prevent a fire from spreading. The fusible link equipped cabinet with the self-close door is equipped with a fusible link which automatically closes the door if the link melts due to fire. Only the doors with enclosed hinges and the welded lower guard rail are classified as fireproof. The cabinets with the self-closing door are UFC 79 compliant.
