Yes, you will need the adapter ring unless you are using an ARD (anti-reflective device).

This product does not fit the objective lens of the Elcan specter dr scope either with or without the ARD. Therefore either the description should be more specific as to which exact series of elcan scope it is meant for or taken off of the market

The SpecterDR 1.5-6x flip cover is a multi-purpose product used to protect the lens surface of the SpecterDR 1.5-6x during extreme outdoor for varmint hunting and target shooting. This product is a great for officers that need to be able to quickly analyze the target and engage quickly with their handgun. The SpecterDR lens cover can also be used as a sling as a point of aim while riding a horseback or as a point of call while sniping. Flip cover is easily installed by flipping the lens over the eyepiece and attaching it to the SpecterDR scope utilizing the integral flip cover jack. Features dual retention tabs with a form fitting design to ensure secure retention while in motion. Can be attached to either the front or rear focal plane To fit all Elcan SpecterDR models.image
