Our Scout Series pants are designed to be layered. The Lightweight model can be worn alone as a light jacket layer while the Midweight works great as outerwear or as mid layer when temperatures plummet. Both work extremely well as light jackets or can be paired with our respective fleece jackets for the perfect weight/ warmth combo. The added versatility of the Lightweight model allows you to layer however you see fit while the articulated knee design gives you the ultimate in comfort and mobility whether you're hiking or doing battle with the elements. The pants have articulated knees with knee pads that can be used for added strength or flexibility, as well as a adjustable waist. The scout series was designed with 4-way stretch for mobility but also has a straight hem that can be rolled up for a slim fit. The flat seams and lack of exterior stitching saves on weight and bulk in the garment while keeping it light and compact. Two upper tie cords at the hems of the pants work with the button fly to adjust the tightness of the pant leg opening. The 4-way stretch material on the back of the pant leg allows for great leg movement but also reduces the stretch of the fabric. Water resistant material on the lower leg keeps the pant legs looking new even after lots of abuse.
