I have an older Meade ETX 90 scope. It has a round, flat base with two screw holes for attachment. Can this scope be used with this tripod?

No. But you can use threaded rod to make 3 legs like it came with. You will find 3 holes around the bottom of the scopes base. Unless you have the plastic version. One short and 2 equal long legs to put the base of the scope at the proper angle for your Latitude. If you have the backpack style, (made in 60, 70, & 90mm) it should have 2 keyhole style attachment screws in the scopes base, had the keyhole forthe screws on the tripod. Just make a wedge, out of a good pinhead camera tripod. The scope really only needs to be level and used in Alt/AZ mode. Setting up polar aligned will help for AP, but is nowhere near a good AP scope.
