Sharpeners are meant for those who truly appreciate a finely sharpened blade. These two-sided diamond sharpeners feature a molded plastic base for safety and for the ultimate in sharpening convenience. One side of the diamond sharpener has an incorporated sharpening slot with a specially designed notch to draw the edge of the blade through the center of the sharpener. The back side of the diamond sharpener has a molded sleeve for holding a honing rod or any other tool or device. The handle is made from a hard aluminum alloy for balance and durability. Both sides of the diamond sharpener are grooved to allow a fine tuning of the edge. By turning the honing rod in different directions on the diamond sharpener the angle of the sharpener can be easily adjusted to sharpen either the edge of the blade or the flatness of the bevel. This allows for optimal sharpening of the blade near the edge of the stone. Both sides of the diamond sharpener are grooved to draw attention to the pivot ring and hole. Each side of the diamond sharpener is grooved to allow for even some of the most common knife steels, to provide a full sharpening circle without having to move from the stone. Each side of the sharpener has an incorporated water control slot machined into the sharpening pad. This feature allows for the stone to be immersed in water for extreme sharpening.
