It is definitely angled enough, and does not advertise itself as a "vertical grip", so it appears ATF legal. Check your specific state laws, but West Virginia does not prohibit one on a pistol. States like NY say that any forward grip on a pistol is illegal, though, so be careful if transporting across state lines.

Installed on my sub-2000 .40s&w. Holds Glock 22 mag just fine, still fine tuning the tension so it holds but can remove with one hand. Will see if tension screw holds or if needs adjustments after repeated firing.
I was worried before I ordered it might be cheap but it’s very heavy duty and works great - double stack mags stay in firmly and can be removed easily … grip itself is thick and strong as well as its mounting hardware - highly recommend this item
Bought for my S&W FPC now it holds 4 mags total.. works just fine.. it's has a screw to adjust the perfect retention. Wish it had 2 screws on the pic rail. No worries tho FAB DEFENSE always innovating.
