The re-engineered Federal 3rd Degree shotshell load is the result of feedback from MeatEater's active shooter community, delivering the results that real hunters demand. Using real turkey feathers as an indicator of quality, each 3rd Degree shotshell carries a custom-designed wad that works in both standard and ported turkey chokes. The distinctive FLITECONTROL FLEX wad opens from the rear and has a patented flex-tip leading edge that enables the shot to leave the barrel at the same angle each time, letting you steer it to where your target is so you can deliver a knockdown-force strike. The loads include a combination of No. 5 and No. 6 shot types to deliver consistent, forgiving patterns at close- to mid-ranges. As the shot velocities get closer to the MeatEater model shotgun load's trajectory changes, the FLITECONTROL FLEX wad keeps the shot on target longer, enabling the high-energy payloads to penetrate deeper into the turkey's body. The loads also retain a custom-designed energy profile to ensure a deadly shot on target regardless of the range or distance.
