Fjall Raven Anorak No. 9 is a durable touring anorak for a little warmer conditions and higher levels of activity. Just like Anorak No. 8. , it has functionality for year-round use, but it is not as heavily reinforced and takes up less room when packed. The hood has the same construction as its sister model and can be adjusted for a perfect fit around the head, with a stiff brim that can be folded back at two angles depending on whether you want maximum wind protection or more peripheral vision. When not being worn, the hood forms a high collar that keeps the neck warm. Half-length zipper at the front, and the opening can be unbuttoned and folded to the side to release excess heat. Long zippers at the sides allow extra ventilation and facilitate putting on/taking off. The kangaroo pocket at the front is a little smaller than on Anorak No. 8 and has openings at the sides. The waist can be adjusted at the back with a drawcord and there is another drawcord that can adjust the width of the lower hem. Sleeve cuffs can be adjusted with buttons. The anorak is made from wind and water resistant G-1000 Eco in recycled polyester and organic cotton, with reinforcements in the form of double layers of fabric on the shoulders, elbows and the lengthened back. The fabric and details were chosen to minimize their impact on the environment for example most of the leather details are made from leftover pieces of leather and to make it easy to replace exposed sections after years of use.
