Great fit and finish. Installed easily and when the barrel was installed it was true. No spacers needed. Make sure you use a billet lower for best results. Tried it on a forged lower and needed an acuwedge to tighten up the fit.

Very well machined & finished, lightweight, aesthetically pleasing. So, why am I giving it 3 stars? The barrel extension to receiver fit is very loose. If you're from the school that finds a nice easy slip fit desirable, have at it, you'll love this....

The Fortis Manufacturing Fortis Billet Upper Receiver is a precision machined, one piece billet upper receiver made from aircraft grade 7075 T6 aluminum and Military Specification Type III hard coat anodized with an M4 feed ramp. The Fortis Manufacturing Fortis Billet Upper Receiver has engraved logos on both sides as well as the top. The Fortis Manufacturing Fortis Billet Upper Receiver w/ 1913 Picatinny Rail has a one piece billet design constructed of aircraft grade 7075 T6 aircraft grade aluminum and Military Specification Type III hard coat anodized with a Cerakote coating. The Fortis Manufacturing Fortis Billet Upper Receiver is a great upper for any gun builder who is looking to increase the function and performance of their rifle with a shaved ounces where they could without sacrificing strength or rigidity.
