The Gould & Goodrich Ballistic Nylon Lumbar Pad is an essential part of the overall Ergonomic Comfort Panel (ECP) System offered by Gould & Goodrich. The Gould & Goodrich Ballistic Nylon Lumbar Pad is a patented Shock and Awning System that relieves lower back pressure and discomfort caused by prolonged sitting or horse-drawn carriage. The G&G Ballistic Nylon Lumbar Pad is designed to spread the load over a greater surface area, reducing back strain and discouraging horse abuse. The pad is shaped ergonomically to fit the body's natural contours and supports the load of the S500, L500 or X500. The S500 is a high-back, padded-waistband design using a single steel Shock-Pad with an open pocket on the front to allow the Ergonomic Comfort Panel to ride higher on the waist. The S500 and L500 are fitted with an internal shelf to allow the Ergonomic Comfort Panel to ride higher on the butt-plate. The S500 and L500 have matching contoured butt-pads on the front. The S500 and L500 have an O-ring on the front left side for attaching the Ergonomic Comfort Panel (X500) or the L500 (Standard). The S500 and L500 have a Velcro closure pad and a steel belt keeper clip on the rear belt loop.
