A safety check for inert glassware fuses two or more sample lines without disconnecting the gas flow. The safety check reduces the possibility of mixing gas from one sample with liquid in another via an inline check. The yellow safety check serves as an alarm to signal a personnel that a gas line has been opened. The colored safety check ensures that hot liquids (e.g. sample reagents) can be drawn without contaminating the sample. It can also serve as a safe-release device when the need arises for an operator to manually check or close a valve. The larger size of the check valve has an increased surface area for increased visibility. Its position, hand feel, and form-fitted spiral give a firm grip.
