The HORNADY “ELD - X” and “ELD - M” bullets have been rock solid for accuracy and consistency in my many years of reloading… I again applied the ELD-Xs into a 300WM load, which is consistently hitting a 1/2MOA at 2750fps.

Hornady 220 gr ELD-X Rifle Bullets are designed to continually expand, even while breaking through bone, and have a boat tail to reduce drag and wind drift. These bullets are meant for all ranges and all game and are meant to be handled as such. However, they are not considered a "game-changing" bullet by any stretch of the imagination. They are a good bullet, don't get me wrong, just make sure you select a ballistic coefficient that is appropriate for the distance you are shooting. The BC is so important that it helps determine the trajectory of the bullet. What makes the difference? Let's just say it's one of the highest.
