The Hornady ELD (Extremely Low Drag) Bullets represent the gold standard of rifle bullets. These bullets have been created with a Heat Shield tip and streamlined design to beat even the most inefficient, drag-producing bullets on the market. Testing has shown that you get no discernible deformation from the bullets you're shooting at the target, ensuring accurace flight and dependable terminal performance. The Hornady 285 Grain ELD Match Bullet passes the "perfect meplat" test, which determines the meplat of a fired bullet is "perfect" relative to its initial state. This means that the entire projectile won't be thrown out of the trajectory of the bullet until the very last moment when it's too late. The Heat Shield tip on this bullet eliminates the deflection of aerodynamic heating, resulting in a meplat (tip) that is always the same shape, ensuring improved accuracy. For a great way to make sure you have the best possible ammunition for your shooting needs, choose the Hornady ELD Rifle Bullets .
