Hunting shirts are an essential part of hunting apparel. To state the obvious, a shirt is an essential part of any outfit, but a good hunting shirt is equally functional as it is fashionable.
What to look for when buying hunting clothes?
You should buy hunting clothes appropriate for the conditions you'll be in and the animal you're hunting. In general, you should wear three layers: a moisture wicking baselayer, a warming midlayer, and a waterproof outer layer. Predators like coyotes see on a grayscale with shades of blue, but they're still capable of picking up on things out of the ordinary. Therefore, it's best to blend in with the environment.
Deer have unique eyesight. They see blues, greens, yellows, and even UV light, but they don't see reds very well. This largely means you should avoid wearing anything with blue in it and instead wear patterns that allow you to blend with the environment. Additionally, most areas require you to wear orange hunting safety gear as well.
Also, if you need to wear a camo pattern, it's generally best practice to wear a consistent pattern with each layer.
