Clamp boss head R271 is a clamp head with a special expansion that allows the user to install and remove electrodes and other apparatus with a push of the lever. When the force exerted on the apparatus is removed, the resulting potential difference between the potential difference at the tip and the force at the tail must be supplied by the user to prevent stress on the neck of the apparatus at the point of connection. Consequently, the user must ensure that the potential difference at the tip of the apparatus is sufficient to balance the apparatus at the required tension. When operated at the required tension, the spring constant potential difference at the tips of the electrodes and the pressure difference at the end of the electrodes tend to balance the apparatus at the point of injection. The electrodes can be positioned anywhere in the jaws of the apparatus, subject to the torque exerted by the clamping force, which may be exerted by the user, or by an operators, by turning the knobs until the desired potential is achieved.
