The MF10 is a laboratory pin mill that employs a reversible double ball grinding head, with fixed grinding heads, one at the top of the grinding head at any one end. The grinding head causes the material being ground to rotate as it passes through the mill, thus reducing the original sample size. This also prevents any debris from accumulating in the grinding chamber, with the exception of aluminum or magnesium, which must be separated from the sample before grinding. The pin mill can be used for pulverizing small sample amounts, such as those from filter paper, or colloidal materials. The grinding head with the knife blade is ideal for pulverizing fibrous materials such as paper, textiles, and fabrics. The high speed cutting grinding head is ideal for pulverizing fibrous materials such as hair, cloth, and cloth-bound pigments. The conical shape of the grinding head prevents material being lost during grinding. The fluted cooling ducts of the grinding head with a water base keeps media flowing smoothly, and the air flow coming from the direction of travel keeps the grinding efficient and effective. The practical safety light weight grinding jar with plate and lifting handle makes this versatile grinding mill easily operated.
