The safety valve on the Sidekick 2500mL ice box chair is designed with a simple ratcheting handle to open the top cover. The spring-loaded cover, made of stainless steel, automatically tightens when the clamp is on the top. In the event of a spill, a vented baffle breaks to release the liquid. The lower half of the handle includes a finger guard to prevent freezing. The upper half is a ledge to prevent the handle from sliding. The Baffled side wall also allows for the release of any liquid that might be trapped in the baffle if the lid is accidentally left off. The top cover, gurney, and top cover are all made from stainless steel. The lower half is aluminum. The top half is a polyethylene with a slitted bottom and is chrome plated.
