do you need a beef up kit for your 308 lower? and does it come with the upper?

NO normal Milspec will work fine , the only thing different is a stronger mag release spring which is trivial . I know I bought the Beef up kit .

Very well built upper I do not recommend a 308 buffer spring unless you're using high brass shells I suggest using a basic AR-15 buffer spring for smoother action
