Product Info for JMI Telescopes Custom Universal Wheeley Bar
JMI Custom Medium/Large Size Universal Wheeley Bars create an easy way to move mounted telescopes to and from observing locations. This is a customized model made to fit various mounts. The price includes 2-3/8in wheels (large 5in or 10in wheels may be included for an additional cost). Consists of a sturdy base with locking wheels and leveling bolts. Easily move, lock and level the complete telescope assembly from location to location without the need to disconnect and reconnect all the electrical and computer cabling during transport.
Standard Wheeley Bars are designed to be used on hard flat surfaces only. The optional large-wheel upgrade, with great care in maneuvering and ideal conditions, can be used on grass, dirt and gravel surfaces. Wheeley Bars are generally designed to be used with the tripod legs almost fully retracted to reduce the overall width.
Compatible with: Mountain Instruments MI-8P pier mount; Adaptable to other mounts with tip-to-tip distance between 43in and 48in.
Note: The heavier the telescope mounted on the Wheeley Bars, the more careful one must be in moving the complete system by pulling or pushing below the center of gravity. JMI is not responsible for incorrect loading or operation.
