It would have been nice to have a leg lanyard included. Without it the sheath is a little unstable and it is difficult to remove the knife. One can be fashioned to solve this but I believe it should be included.

This knife is smaller than the famous K-Bar of WWII fame.
It’s a handy sized for everyday use in the field. Available with a heavy leather scabbard and a tactical kydex/plastic scabbard. I opted for the plastic scabbard. Users preference.

Product Info for KA-BAR Knives Shorty USMC Fixed Blade w/Leather Sheath
KA-BAR Short Fixed KA-BAR Knife is a smaller, more practical version of the classic KA-BAR knife introduced by the company way back in World War II. Though it is smaller, this KA-BAR knife retains the powerful clip point blade of its predecessor, forged into a partially serrated, 0.165" thick blade made from 1095 Cro-Van steel. KABAR Short Combo Edge KA-BAR Knife utilizes a comfortable handle made from Kraton G and shaped into an ergonomic, palm-hugging shape that will give you excellent control over the knife. KA-BAR Knives has outfitted this modern classic with a threatening black blade finish, plus a large powdered metal finger guard that will protect your hands during extended use of the knife. If you love the original KA-BAR but need something a bit more compact, get its shorter twin: the KA BAR Short Clip Point Fixed Blade KA-BAR Knife.
