Product Category Description:

Less painful than traditional IV sets because the plunger is relaxed, the solution is drawn into the tip, and the entire volume of fluid is released at the same time. The tip remains in place when the plunger is released, providing a leakproof connection and eliminating the need for frequent withdrawals. It is inserted easily into the orifice of a traditional IV set using the plunger as a check valve. The syringe is made of all-sterile, high-quality polyethylene. The high-friction, stainless steel plunger is set in a bayonet-lock style. The bulb is detachable to simplify set-up for many procedures. Since the bulb is sterile, the final sterilization process does not add any further sterility assurance.
