The conical bottom keeps the sample in the same position throughout the incubation and provides for thorough mixing. A polyethylene plug on one end of the specimen cup keeps it in place to prevent sample evaporation during transport. The polyethylene plug is easily removed to allow for more efficient aspiration. The Kendall Healthcare Specimen Cup is an economical choice for transport procedures requiring a standard wedger-lock laminar flow hood. It is recommended that the specimen cup be certified for compliance with state and federal regulations prior to use.
