A new version of the Defensive Fixed Sight. Kensight (DFS) 1911 Rear Sight with Kimber Dovetail is wire-EDM cut from a single block of 4140 steel. Distinctive grasping serrations are also wire-EDM cut into the sides of the sight. Fits all Kimber 1911 autos with factory-supplied fixed sights. These sights will not fit the Kimber with the factory adjustable sight. See Kensight item# 860-063 for the adjustable version. Blade Notch: 0.136" (W) x 0.102" (D). This rear sight comes paiRed with our contoured base fiber optic blade front sight which incorporates a bright fiber optic rod that draws the shooter's eye to the front post for sight acquisition and recovery. Wire-EDM machined from 4140 chrome moly steel and heat treated to a hardness of RC 38-40, this front sight is definitely going to withstand the test of time. This sight comes with a 0.100'' wide blade that is partially serrated. the Fiber optic rod is 0.060'' in diameter and is well shielded while also offering superior visibility. Compatible with Novak type front sight dovetail cuts (0.330" x 65 x 0.075") as typically found on both customized and factory 1911 pistols.
