These chokes are designed for use with Ported 12ga Hevi shotguns. This choke will produce the best patterns with ported shotguns. These chokes are designed with a second port, which forces the air to rush out the back end of the choke, therefore stabilizing the wad and reducing recoil. Another advantage to this choke is that if you do manage to choke up on a ported choke tube, the shot will still come out the other end, just not as far as you blow. Eliminating the back pressure on the shotgun is great for F-Class choke tubes. We do not recommend using steel shot with these chokes.
